    Marc O’Polo opens the largest mono-brand store in Romania

    The fashion brand Marc O’Polo, present in over 2,000 point of sales in 37 countries, opens the fourth mono-brand store in Romania in the AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping center in Bucharest.

    Marc O’Polo is a brand founded over 50 years ago in Stockholm, being present in Romania through its mono-brand stores located in Bucharest Mall, Fashion House Militari and Iulius Mall Cluj-Napoca.

    The store in AFI Palace Cotroceni is the largest in the network (235 square meters).

    Headquartered in Stephanskirchen in the area of Munich, Germany, Marc O’Polo has about 1,800 employees and had a turnover of 430 million euros in the fiscal year 2019/2020.

    The brand is present both in the western markets and in Central and Eastern Europe and China.

    The Italian cosmetics retailer Pupa opens three mono-brand stores in Romania

    Pupa, the Italian cosmetics brand present in Romania since 2015 through a network of six stores located in four cities, opens three new stores in AFI Bucharest, Ploieşti and Braşov.

    The opening of the three new stores is scheduled throughout the month of November, with the unit in AFI Palace Cotroceni being already operational.

    Through the three new stores, Pupa enters two new cities in Romania: Braşov and Ploieşti respectively, thus covering the entire retail portfolio of AFI Europe.

    Pupa Milano is a brand of the Italian company Micys Group, founded in 1975 and present in over 70 countries, offering a diverse range of makeup, intensive cosmetic treatments for face and body, perfumes, bath and shower products, makeup kits, etc., with exclusive patents for its formulas and innovative technologies used for its ingredients and materials.

    AFI Brasov shopping center unit opened today

    AFI Brasov brings together a mix between a modern shopping center developed on 3 floors, with 45.000 sqm GLA and A Class modern offices with total 15.000 sqm GLA rising above the mall.

    AFI Brasov offers its visitors over 150 fashion and beauty international brands, as well as local famous brands, playgrounds, fitness centre, entertainment, banks, pharmacies and an Carrefour hypermarket on a gross area of 6.500 sqm.

    The visitors can enjoy a 3.500 sqm green terrace, with a unique view overlooking Mount Tampa.

    Two new tenants in AFI Park Brașov: Siemens and NTT Data

    AFI Park Brașov, the newest office project developed by AFI Europe Romania, announced new tenants: Siemens Romania and NTT Data.

    Currently the A class office building is reaching an occupancy rate of 55% before its official opening, with a total leased area of approximately 8,300 sqm.

    AFI Park Brașov is part of the mixed-use project AFI Brasov, located in the city center, which combines a shopping center with 45,000 sqm GLA and 2 Class A office buildings.

    The first office building offers 15.000 sqm GLA, spread on 12 floors, and the second phase of the project is planned to add 10,000 sqm GLA. The office project has received from LEED Gold certification as ”green building” as a recognition for being a sustainable building.

    The overall investment in the project, including the shopping center and the first office building, reaches approximately 148 million Euro.

    AFI Europe acquires four NEPI Rockcastle office projects in Romania

    AFI Europe signed a new agreement with NEPI Rockcastle for the acquisition of four class A office projects in Romania, with a total leasable area of ​​118.500 square meters.

    The value of the transaction amounts to 290 million euros, and the takeover of the portfolio is scheduled to be completed in the next four months.

    What projects has AFI Europe acquired?

    • Floreasca Business Park, Calea Floreasca no. 169, Bucharest, with a total area of ​​36,470 sqm;
    • The Lakeview, Barbu Văcărescu St. no. 301-311, Bucharest, with a total area of ​​25,907 sqm;
    • Aviatorilor 8, Bd. Aviatorilor no. 8A, Bucharest, with a total area of ​​8,203 sqm;
    • Timișoara City Business Center, Coriolan Brediceanu Str. no. 10, Timișoara, with a total area of ​​47,936 sqm.

    After the completion of this transaction and with the office projects under development (AFI Park Brașov and AFI Tech Park 2-3), AFI Europe will manage a portfolio of offices with a total leasable area of ​​almost 300,000 sqm.

    In the office segment, AFI Europe Romania has developed and manages AFI Park 1-5 and AFI Tech Park, both located in Bucharest, and AFI Park Brașov, in the center of Brașov, which will be opened this autumn.
