    Autodoc sales rose to over 600 million euros in the first three quarters

    Autodoc saw its sales rise to over 600 million euros in the first three quarters of the year. This is an increase of around 40% compared to the same period last year.

    In 2019, the company’s revenue between January and September amounted to a total of 434 million euros.

    Autodoc’s chief executive Alexej Erdle has stated that he firmly believes the company will achieve the announced sales target of 800 million euros by the end of the year – up from 615 million euros in 2019.

    The company shown particularly strong growth in its core markets of Germany and France during the fiscal year 2020, with sales rising by well over 50% in the two countries.

    Autodoc achieved even more substantial gains in Great Britain, where sales increased by over 80%.

    The company’s own brands, Stark and Ridex, also contributed to the above-average business development with sales growth of 65% compared to the same period last year.

    The spare parts aftermarket is also likely to benefit from the continued reluctance to buy new cars. In Germany, for instance, the average age of the vehicle fleet in 2020 has increased by 0.1 to 9.6 years, according to the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA).

    Autodoc opened a new warehouse in Szczecin

    Autodoc opened its latest logistics centre in Szczecin, last Friday. With the new building ”M13”, the company is doubling its storage space in the city to 26.700 square metres.

    Up to 800 jobs will be created in the new semi-automatically operated warehouse.

    In 2018 Autodoc opened its local reloading point for car parts, accessories and consumer goods by the A6 motorway in the district of Zalom-Kasztanowe.

    By now, almost 1.600 employees and contract workers work at this location. Almost 75.000 products are unpacked and repacked, addressed and shipped to end customers every day.

    In future, Autodoc’s handling will increase from 25.000 daily orders to as many as 61.000 orders.

    The Szczecin site is Autodoc’s most important logistics location with total investments of around 11.0 million euros since its launch.

    Autodoc searches for new employees in Szczecin and Berlin

    Autodoc is currently looking for new employees in both Szczecin and Berlin to meet the continuing strong growth in demand. Szczecin, in particularly, has turned into a popular logistics location in Poland.

    The multinational workforce in the warehouses often works in teams organised according to their native languages. Ten nations are represented in Szczecin.

    The employees receive a number of bonus systems, private health insurance and care as well as free transport to and from the city centre of Szczecin.

    Autodoc net sales increased by 48% year-on-year to EUR 615.0m (2018: EUR 415m). As a result, Autodoc achieved its own sales target of over EUR 600m.

    Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased by 50% to EUR 44.6m (2018: EUR 29.7m). The return on sales improved slightly to 5.0% (2018: 4.8%).

    Autodoc portfolio contains over 2.5 million products from 545 brand manufacturers for more than 44,000 configurations of 128 car brands.

    Since June 2020, Autodoc also runs a website in Ireland and is now represented in a total of 27 European countries.

    In the first quarter, the online dealer recorded a 30% increase in sales to EUR 165m (Q1 2019: EUR 127m). Sales growth for the first half of the year amounts to around 35%.

    • Autodoc posted sales revenue of 165.5 million euros in the first quarter of 2020 (Q1 2019: 127.0 million euros).
    • This means a rise in turnover of 30% compared with the same period a year earlier.

    Over the first three months, the product range was expanded and new and innovative customer solutions were introduced. Both aspects continue to form the main components of the growth strategy that the company plans to implement consistently over 2020.

    The company’s long-term growth is based on the determined implementation of their growth strategy: This includes, first and foremost, the comprehensive product range of currently 2.5 million items.

    Autodoc Club and mobile app

    Autodoc thus offers its customers a comprehensive and growing range of car parts that everyone can afford. The associated services are being extended as well: Over the recent past these have included the launch of the “Autodoc Club” platform in the last quarter of 2019, along with the accompanying mobile app in February 2020.

    On this platform, Autodoc has bundled its digital services. At its core is a library of more than 2,500 video and PDF tutorials aimed at assisting customers with simple repairs to their own cars. The mobile app expands and complements the scope of functions on the online platform with a personal digital service logbook. Alongside the tutorials from the library, this includes, for example, the option of to track consumption of fuel and other consumables.

    For 2020 as a whole, Autodoc plans to continue its growth by means of innovation and further optimisation of operational processes.
