    Bonami has a new sales target for 2021, EUR 96 million

    Bonami had set a target of EUR 77 million in sales for 2021, but after an increase in sales, it changed this threshold to EUR 96 million.

    Pavel Vopařil, CEO of Bonami, explained: After the first three months of 2021, we had to re-evaluate the forecast. We are growing significantly faster

    Some categories stood out, such as sofas, mattresses or pillows, which indicates that people still want to invest to make their home more comfortable.

    Also, garden accessories and furniture have grown in importance, and due to the fact that Bonami has introduced its own brand.

    For the near future, the company focuses on several projects that will be implemented in the coming months, sunch as optimizing the website and delivery methods.

    Depending on the evolution of the pandemic and the restrictions imposed, Bonami will evaluate the opportunity to open stores in new locations.

    Bonami, increase in sales of 19 million euros compared to 2019

    • Bonami recorded, despite the pandemic, an increase in sales of 19 million euros compared to 2019.
    • The company plans, for 2021, additional investments and the launch of its own brands.

    The increase, compared to last year, was over 40% and the turnover reached 70 million euros, of which 10 million made in Romania.

    EBITDA, unaudited, was 209% higher than in 2019.

    We have invested almost 3 million euros in increasing the capacity of warehouses, transport, technology, marketing and, last but not least, in our physical stores, opening 6 units this year, said Pavel Vopařil, CEO of Bonami.

    Bonami plans to develop its own transport solution, which is already in use in three countries (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary), on all markets

    The warehouses will be further expanded in 2021, doubling its area, from 10,000 sqm to 20,000 sqm.

    A novelty will also be the Bonami private labels, which customers will be able to recognize in the categories of interior, exterior  furniture and decorations.

    80% sales growth for Bonami on Black Friday

    Bonami has seen an increase of 80% in sales, in Romania and of 100% on the other markets where the company is present.

    Total sales made during the duration of the promotions, including Cyber ​​Monday, reached 6 million euros overall, of which 800,000 euros in Romania.

    Between November 27th and 29th, and on Cyber ​​Monday, the sales were higher than on the Romanian Black Friday weekend, 4 million euros versus 2 million euros, with the same trend being confirmed on the Romanian market, (500.000 euros versus 300,000).

    The largest order made in Romania had a value of 9500 euros.

    The highest online traffic was reached Sunday afternoon and night, the trend withstanding both periods with special Black Friday promotions.

    Compared to an ordinary November day, online traffic rose by 150%. Romanians prefer ordering through the mobile phone, while in all other countries where Bonami is present, the orders were made using desktop.

    During the two promotional periods we succeeded in selling 35.000 products in Romania, out of a total of 250.000 on all markets”, said Pavel Vopařil, CEO of Bonami.

    Bonami expects sales of 2.5 million euros, of which 20%, 500,000 euros, on the Romanian market for Black Friday.

    During Black Friday discounts, Bonami records the highest sales in Romania, compared to all other countries where the company is present.

    The Black Friday season, which this year includes two weekends, 12-15.11 and 26-29.11, will start on Thursday at midnight and will end on Sunday.

    For the first weekend, in which Bonami participates in the Romanian Black Friday, there will be products with discounts of up to 80%.

    For traditional Black Friday, there will be a 15% discount on any product in the Bonami offer. Cyber ​​Monday will take place on Monday, 30.11.

    Compared to last year, the company doubled the number of unique products (SKUs) available for Black Friday from 20,000 to 40,000.

    Bonami continues the cashback campaign throughout November and December, so that any amount spent on Bonami.ro during this period, will be returned to customers on 24.12, in the shape of credit.

    Bonami opened its first two physical stores in Prague this year, and the network will expand rapidly this year beyond the Czech Republic, in the main cities of the countries where Bonami is present.

    Bonami plans to open 6 more stores by the end of the year and 20 in 2021.

    ”For the next period, the priority is to open as soon as possible a wide network of stores, which also serve as showrooms and as order pick-up points, first in Slovakia and Hungary, followed by Romania and Poland”, said Pavel Vopařil, Bonami CEO.

    In addition to these services, the company has inaugurated its own transport network, dedicated especially to large pieces of furniture.

    Launched in spring, the service proved to be a real success from the first months of operation, and was rapidly expanded, with deliveries now being made in Prague, Bratislava and Budapest, and in the near future in Bucharest.

    Regarding the forecast for 2021, an increase of 35% is expected. ”We expect a turnover of 100 million euros, of which 13 million on the Romanian market,” said Pavel Vopařil.

    Bonami opened its first physical store in the shopping area of ​​Černý Most, in Prague. The space will change its assortment depending on the season and the ongoing online campaigns.

    In an area of ​​approximately 200 m2, there is a selection of accessories, lighting fixtures, as well as furniture, from brands such as: Bloomingville, Be Pure Home, PT LIVING, Karlsson or furniture from Karup, Actona, La Forma and Rowico.

    During the purchase, in order to simplify the ordering procedure, customers will have tablets available.

    By scanning the QR code of the selected product, they display all available information as well as related items.

    The store shares a common space with the Czech reseller of beds and mattresses, ProSpánek.

    Bonami plans to open other stores, both in the Czech Republic and in other markets where the company is present.

    Free return for one year

    In order to meet the needs of its customers, in a difficult period, Bonami implements a completely free return policy, for 365 days, to any product ordered, both small and oversized.

    In April, Bonami exceeded the initial forecast, achieving sales of 6 million euros in all markets where the company is present, of which 1 million euros on the Romanian market.

    “Even though the growth was initially slower, since mid April sales have followed a steady upward trend. In percentage, Bonami achieved sales 30% higher last month than in March, when the pandemic crisis broke out. We are also pleased with the results obtained in May, we expect an increase of 80% compared to the same period last year for the entire company and 120% for Romania “, Pavel Voparil, the company’s CEO, mentioned.

    Bonami has been thoroughly preparing for the summer 2020 season since the beginning of the year, with new spaces dedicated to storing stock products, so that they can be delivered to customers in the shortest time.

    In the coming months, Bonami is counting with a higher than originally expected growth, wanting to sell out the entire stock of products available, with the exception of large pieces of furniture.

    The company takes into account the current context, in which customers will travel less and will spend more time in their own home and garden, being willing to make significant investments to create a pleasant space.

    Bonami thus offers them the opportunity to buy everything they need for the house online, without having to go to physical stores.

    In order to improve the shopping experience, the company launched its own delivery services, but also express delivery of orders to its customers, in collaboration with Liftago.

    Thus, customers can opt for fast delivery, within 3-4 hours, of small products.
