    Miniso opens first store in Iceland and in Northern Europe

    Miniso opened its first store in Iceland, as well as Northern Europe. This marks the fourth store that Miniso has opened in Europe just this month.

    Miniso first Iceland store is located in the famous Kringlan Mall in the capital Reykjavik.

    Given the consumer interest, the store had, at times, more than 100 people in queue, while the average purchase per customer totaled 7 items during the first two days of opening.

    Products presented in this newly-opened Miniso store in Iceland, such as cosmetic brush, facial razor, silicone face cleanser, eye massager, all kinds of cups and plush dolls, have unsurprisingly become popular among local consumers.

    New stores in France and the UK

    Elsewhere in Europe, Miniso opened two stores in France including the first POP UP store in FNAC Beaugrenelle, and one store in the United Kingdom this month.

    The France store, located in the town of Plaisir just next to Paris, is the country’s second Miniso store after its prestigious Chaussée d’Antin location in the country’s capital.

    In the United Kingdom, Miniso has opened stores in Cambridge and Cardiff recently.

    100th new store since IPO opened in Madrid. Spain is one of Miniso’s most rapidly expanding markets, with 16 stores across major cities such as Barcelona, Sevilla, Malaga, Granada.

    The opening in Madrid is the fourth in Spain this month alone. Additional store openings are planned before the end of the year.

    China and international markets are rebounding rapidly

    Miniso set a record pace in its home market, China, by opening 54 stores on the same day on October 1, which is the first day of China’s Golden Week – a week-long national holiday that represents one of the biggest weeks for retail and tourism.

    The timing was also ahead of China’s biggest shopping festival known as Double 11 or Singles’ Day.

    Miniso also directly operates a number of stores across Asia, Africa and the United States – opening more than 20 stores collectively across these regions since October.

    Notable openings include the 39th store in Los Angeles, United States, and one in the iconic Pacific Mall in New Delhi, India.

    Miniso opened its inaugural outlet in Paris. It is the first store to open in Europe since the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange.

    Two more store openings are planned in France for this year, and Miniso aims to open additional locations in 2021.

    The retailer offers around 2.000 goods ranging from creative home necessities, health and beauty products, fashion accessories and stylish gifts to office supplies, boutique package decorations, digital accessories, as well as food and seasonal products.

    Located on 58 Rue de la Chaussée-d’Antin, Miniso’s new store is within walking distance of Paris’ luxury stores, and offers more than 80% of its products priced at under 10 euros.

    Since opening its first store in Guangzhou in 2013, Miniso has opened more than 4.200 stores in over 80 countries

    Miniso opened its first store in Malta in one of its booming cities, Sliema. Malta is the 16th European country where Miniso has entered.

    The first store of Miniso in Malta is more than 200 square meters, and the number of SKUs for sale in the store exceeds 2.000, including many world-selling products such as plush toys, water cups, perfumes, bluetooth headsets.

    In the Maltese store, 65% of Miniso products are sold for under $5.

    It is expected that Miniso will open three new stores in Malta and increase the number of product SKUs to 4.000 for the rest of the year.

    In the first half of 2020, the company increased its speed of expansion in the European market, opening new stores in Spain, Romania, Hungary, Turkey and the Netherlands.
