    SeedBlink appointed Carmen Sebe as the company’s CEO

    SeedBlink investment platform appointed Carmen Sebe as CEO, after joining the company as a partner on January 1, 2020.

    With the promotion of Carmen Sebe, Andrei Dudoiu, co-founder and former CEO of the company becomes Managing Partner and Chairman of the Board of Directors.

    The organizational chart is completed by two new managers for the positions of CFO and CTO.

    So Dorina Tudor, a manager with 25 years of experience in finance, has been Chief Financial Officer since September 7.

    Previously, SeedBlink held a similar position at Dr. Leahu Clinics, Gecad Group and Avangate.

    On the other hand, George Simion, a specialist with 17 years of IT experience, became SeedBlink’s new Chief Technology Officer in August.

    Previously, he held various management positions, including Software Engineering Director at Verifone, 2CheckOut and Coinzone.

    These hires come on the heels of SeedBlink’s €3 million Series A funding round led by Catalyst II Romania, with the additional participation of institutional investors.

    Sigtree Technologies, a Prop-Tech start-up that targets real estate developers, aims to attract financing worth 500.000 Euro, out of which 250.000 on SeedBlink.

    Thus, 7,14% of the company’s stocks are to be put up for sale.

    The investment round is supported by two private investors with experience in technology and real estate through a 250.000 Euro investment.

    The funds will be directed towards the company’s expansion on other European markets, such as Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Spain and Great Britain.

    The company was launched in 2018 by Vlad Costea, with 14 years of IT and Telcom experience, out of which the last 8 within the Ericsson multinational company.

    The start-up quickly attracted two other former coworkers from Ericsson who joined as founders, Octavian Cazanciu and Razvan Dumitru, each with 10+ years of IT experience.

    Sigtree Technologies is valuated at 3 million euro pre-money. For 2022, the management targets a turnover of 650.000 euro, 10 times higher than in 2021.

    Romanian platform Global Database targets EUR 1.4 million on SeedBlink

    Global Database, an aggregator of private and public company information, aims to obtain a funding of 1.4 million euros on the crowdfunding platform SeedBlink.

    SeedBlink campaign started today, August 26, the round being supported by two private investors with experience in IT.

    Funds will be used to develop the solution, invest in marketing and hire sales specialists for the US and the UK.

    The company is to sell a package of up to 10% of the shares, being valued at €17 million.

    Information about over 120 million companies, structured and aggregated from 195 countries

    Global Database gathers information from over 120 million companies worldwide, providing structured and up-to-date data.

    The platform includes contact details about companies, financial reports, who are the final beneficiaries, credit risk information, daily alerts.

    Most of the information is gathered from official sources, combined with public sources and partnerships with strategic data providers to provide an overview of companies globally.

    The platform offers public information to over 350.000 users/month and has over 100 active corporate clients.

    Global Database was created in 2015 by Nicolae Buldumac, a specialist with ten years of experience in sales&marketing in Great Britain and Vitalie Aremescu, a specialist with 13 years of experience in IT in the Republic of Moldova.

    The company has clients including American Express, Dupont, Vodafone, British Council, WWF, Salesforce, SAP, Edendred, 3M, Embassy of Canada, Embassy of Spain, Getty Images.

    For this year, the company estimates revenues of $ 1.2 million compared to $ 0.7 million last year.

    By 2020, Global Database has grown organically from year to year, with no foreign investment. The project was funded exclusively by the founders.

    Siscale AI wants to get 800.000 euros by listing on SeedBlink

    Siscale AI, a company that automates IT processes based on artificial intelligence, intends to attract 800.000 euros through Seedblink.

    Of the 800.000 euros, about 150.000 euros will be invested by the company’s co-founders.

    Targeted funding through SeedBlink will be directed to research and development, marketing and sales.

    Siscale AI was launched in 2015 in New York by Petrica Ruta, a Romanian with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry and who is established in the USA since 2012.

    Later on, he was joined by Bogdan Perian, Calin Cornigeanu, Cristian Ruta, Bogdan Sass, Bob Dimicco and Andreas Enotiadis.

    What Siscale AI products do?

    Arcanna.ai, the company’s main product, helps cybersecurity specialists in sorting alerts and automating numerous manual processes.

    These include collecting threat intelligence information, the automatic creation of tickets or the deduplication of alerts.

    For 2021, the founders want to validate the product and launch it as software as a service, and, in the next 18 months, it aims to register 100 customers.

    TSiscale’s clients include Orange Romania and Summit Health, one of the largest providers of medical services in New York.

    The company is registered in Delaware and has offices in New Jersey, Bucharest and Timisoara.

    The research and development team of Siscale AI has 32 people and is located in Romania.

    Romanian health-tech start-up Medic Chat targets € 250,000 on SeedBlink

    Medic Chat, a Romanian telemedicine platform that offers online medical advice from specialty doctors, targets a €250,000 investment on Seedblink.

    More than a third is already secured by Cleverage VC and an Angel Investor from the US. The listing took place today, March 9th.

    Medic Chat has strategically prepared the investment round by ensuring an anchor investment of €75,000 from Cleverage Venture Capital.

    The start-up has also obtained a €12,500 de euro investment from Jay Chowdhury, Angel Investor from US, with whom the team has collaborated in the past.

    In its three years of activity, the platform has demonstrated market validation through an accelerated growth rate, reporting 12X higher revenue in 2020 compared to 2019, thus exceeding €56,000.

    Currently, the app has over 50,000 user accounts and a network of over 200 doctors, covering 40 medical specialties.

    Benefito Mobile, targets 150,000 euros on SeedBlink

    Benefito Mobile, a virtual mobile operator (MVNO), targets 150,000 euros on SeedBlink. The listing will take place on Tuesday, January 26.

    In exchange for this funding, the founders of Benefito Mobile will sell 10,000 shares representing 5.3% of the capital.

    The investment will finance the launch in the second quarter of 2021 of the first prepaid card in Romania through which customers receive mobile credit when purchasing products and services.

    The launch of Benefito Mobile comes in the context in which virtual mobile operators have developed for over ten years in Western Europe, representing, depending on the country, between 10% and 40% of mobile users.

    The management of Benefito Mobile expects to reach a share of 2-3% of the mobile market by the end of 2025.

    The company aims to attract 400,000 euros from private investors interested in technology, but also from individuals who seek to invest their capital.

    Cassa software attracts KPMG as a lead investor on SeedBlink

    Cassa, an accounting software that contains elements of artificial intelligence and machine learning, attracted KPMG Romania as a lead investor in the financing round that is targeted on SeedBlink.

    The amount aimed at SeedBlink is 100,000 euros.

    Cassa has been listed on SeedBlink since October – those interested in investing in the company have this opportunity until November 26th, 2020.

    The data about the transaction value and the share package taken over by KPMG are confidential.

    The transaction came after the selection of the Cassa solution in KPMG Startup Grow Pad, an acceleration program that addresses startups with process automation activities, robotic assistance, augmented analytics, cybersecurity, intelligent and analytical applications (data).

    The selected startups are from industries in which KPMG also has expertise: IT, telecom, financial services, real estate, professional B2B services, consumer-trade markets, legal, compliance, and regulatory services.

    What is Cassa

    Cassa is a Software as a Service application that orders the flow of documents smartly and simplifies communication between accountants and entrepreneurs.

    The app was launched in June this year by Cornel Fugaru (34 years old) and Daniel Teodoroiu (32 years old).

    Digitization and thus eliminating accountants’ manual work are based on a technology of optical character recognition (OCR) that allows the transformation of scanned documents, photographs, and PDFs into editable documents.

    The platform targets accountants, which have the opportunity to become resellers for their accounting clients.

    By the end of this year, the company’s management aims to reach 2,000 customers, and by the end of 2021 to have 15,000 users.

    VoxiKids aims to attract 290,000 euros on SeeBlink

    VoxiKids, a platform for parents and speech therapists that aims to accelerate the recovery of children with speech and pronunciation deficiencies, is listed on SeedBlink, the largest equity crowdfunding platform in Southeastern Europe, in a round of funding of 290.000 euros for which the company transfers 10.39% of the capital.

    The listing will be on Tuesday, November 3, at 10.00 AM.

    The amount targeted by equity crowdfunding is 175.000 euros. The round is also financed by private investors along with GapMinder VC – that continue to support the project, and Cleverage VC.

    The two funds and the private investors finance VoxiKids with 115,000 euros. The company’s pre-money valuation is 2.5 million euros.

    34 million children in need of speech therapy

    VoxiKids was launched in March 2019  by AnaMaria Onică (36 years old), Cristian Băiță (38 years old), and Adrian Enache (31 years old).

    It was launched as a mobile MVP (minimum viable product) – for iOS and Android- and currently has over 10,000 downloads.

    During the last months, entrepreneurs were focused to develop a SaaS platform that connects parents with speech therapists and makes possible online speech therapy.

    The beta version of the platform will be launched until December 2020, right now is being tested in 25 speech therapyoffices. Also, at the beginning of 2021, the final version of the mobile application will be launched.

    The app will also incorporate an artificial intelligence module (voice processing) that is created in partnership with Politehnica University of Bucharest.

    Entrepreneurs aim for the product to be used in over 1.000 speech therapyoffices in the next 12 months and to impact the lifes of nearly 17.000 children in Romania.

    Thus, next year the company could reach a turnover of 720.000 euros on the Romanian market.

    The final version of the SaaS platform will contain 20 modules that offer: online therapy, specialized content (exercises, homework), administrative instruments (document management), communication tools (relevant notes), patient management tools (monitoring progress, adjusting therapy, evaluations).

    The team is also working on creating content for children with disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome.

    MOCAPP, a Romanian tech startup that facilitates the development of marketing campaigns with the help of influencers (Influencer Marketing) wants to invest 200.000 euros in accelerating business development.

    The investment will be financed through an active equity crowdfunding campaign starting on October 27 on SeedBlink.

    The amount will be used for developing the new tools for platform users, over 800 in the first year, increasing the level of interaction and presence in the region.

    The platform can be used by any brand, local or multinational company, which wants to bring its products close to customers with the help of influencers.

    MOCAPP provides clients with the research, automation of contracts and payments, reporting, statistics and performance analysis, and from 2020 also provides audited audiences of influencers, through the partnership with HypeAuditor.

    Market size: over 50% annual growth

    The goals of the MOCAPP founders are that by the end of 2021, the platform will reach over 2.000 influencers in the region and over 1.000 collaborations between brands and content creators.

    Apiary Book aims for 150.000 euros through equity crowdfunding

    Apiary Book, a Romanian beekeeping management application globally, wants to get 150.000 euros through equity crowdfunding on SeedBlink.

    The total round of financing is 200.000 euros and is led by the GapMinder investment fund.

    Apiary Book is an application for managing the activities in an apiary, monitoring the hives, analyzing the data of bee families and environmental factors that may affect their health.

    The application was launched as a personal project in 2015 by Bogdan Iordache (43 years old), an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the IT field. The company was registered as a business in 2018.

    At the end of the same year, Ionuț Țăranu (45 years old), a specialist with over two decades of experience in IT, joined the company.

    Currently Apiary Book is the most successful application for beekeepers worldwide, with 22.000 active users each month. The platform is available on Google Play and has versions in 18 languages. So far it has been downloaded over 160.000 times.

    Evaluation of 1.25 million euros

    For the amount of 150.000 euros targeted through equity crowdfunding on SeedBlink, the co-founders of Apiary Book sell a package of 10.34% of the shares, the company’s valuation being thus 1.25 million euros pre-money.

    In this financing round, the GapMinder Venture Capital fund also joined with an investment of 50.000 euros.

    This is the second time that GapMinder is investing in the Apiary Book. In 2018 GaoMinder invested 25.000 euros (pre-seed investment) in Apiary Book.

    In 2018, Apiary Book won the award for the best agritech start-up in Romania at the StartupEurope Awards competition.

    Oncochain, a data collection and analysis platform for oncology research, aims to raise 200.000 euros through equity crowdfunding on SeedBlink.

    The total value of the financing is 350.000 euros, the round being led by the Cleverage VC investment fund.

    Oncochain is a startup launched in Timișoara at the beginning of 2019 by the couple Mădălin Margan (32 years old) and Roxana Margan (32 years old), both being doctors specialized in obstetrics-gynecology.

    Data collected from daily clinical practice are provided to oncology health professionals, research institutes, and pharmaceutical companies in the form of statistical analyzes.

    The statistics are anonymous and aims to generate information that can guide research and increase the quality of medical services.

    Since its launch, Oncochain has received investments of approximately € 80.000: the investment of the co-founders, European funds, grants from companies and a business angel.
