    3DLOOK announces $6.5 million Series A round

    3DLOOK announced that it has raised $6.5 million in Series A funding, led by Almaz Capital with participation from TMT Investments and Zubr Capital.

    The investment brings the company’s total fundraising to date to $11.2 million. 

    The new funds will be used to expand 3DLOOK’s US leadership team and establish new R&D labs in the US and Western Europe.

    3DLOOK’s mobile camera–based solutions provide personalized fit and size recommendations for online shoppers and body data intelligence that brands can use to create better-fitting clothes.

    The technology uses a patented combination of computer vision and 3D statistical modeling to instantly measure the human body using just two photos.

    Brands that use 3DLOOK’s solutions have seen 30% decreases in return rates, while increasing conversions 4 times year over year.

    Tailored Brands and 1822 Denim are among the global fashion retailers that are using 3DLOOK’s solutions to drive down apparel returns and increase conversion.

    Storyblok raises $8.5 million Series A to fund international expansion

    Storyblok has raised an $8.5 million Series A. The investment was led by Mubadala Capital, which counts TIER Mobility and Cazoo among its portfolio, and existing Storyblok investors firstminute capital and 3VC.

    Storyblok intends to use the funding to expand its platform by introducing new features including a new custom design system for third parties, agency partner listing, geo location filtering and typed GraphQL support.

    It also intends to grow its international team and begin its global expansion with sales offices set to open in Germany and the Republic of Ireland in the coming months.

    The Austria-founded company’s platform is the world’s first headless CMS built for both developers and business users.

    Its clients include large enterprises such as Pizza Hut, Adidas, UPC, Greggs, Decathlon and tens of thousands of solo developers.

    It is currently powering more than 60,000 projects across 130 countries and recorded a six-fold increase in enterprise client growth in 2020.

    Romanian chatbot developer Druid attracts a $ 2.5 million Series A investment

    Druid, a company specialized in developing intelligent virtual assistants (chatbots), closed a new round of financing of 2.5 million dollars.

    The round was led by GapMinder Ventures fund with $ 2.2 million. The rest of the amount was invested by Early Game Ventures and private investors.

    Thus, Druid becomes one of the best-capitalized startups in Romania, with total investments worth 5.8 million dollars attracted since its launch in 2018.

    Druid revenues increased by 580% in 2020 compared to 2019, in the context in which the market for conversational solutions based on artificial intelligence has an average growth rate of 22% over the next four years, reaching $ 13.9 billion in 2025, according to a Marketsandmarkets study.
