    Sigree Technologies targeting 250.000 euros on SeedBlink

    Sigtree Technologies, a Prop-Tech start-up that targets real estate developers, aims to attract financing worth 500.000 Euro, out of which 250.000 on SeedBlink.

    Thus, 7,14% of the company’s stocks are to be put up for sale.

    The investment round is supported by two private investors with experience in technology and real estate through a 250.000 Euro investment.

    The funds will be directed towards the company’s expansion on other European markets, such as Poland, Hungary, Czechia, Spain and Great Britain.

    The company was launched in 2018 by Vlad Costea, with 14 years of IT and Telcom experience, out of which the last 8 within the Ericsson multinational company.

    The start-up quickly attracted two other former coworkers from Ericsson who joined as founders, Octavian Cazanciu and Razvan Dumitru, each with 10+ years of IT experience.

    Sigtree Technologies is valuated at 3 million euro pre-money. For 2022, the management targets a turnover of 650.000 euro, 10 times higher than in 2021.

    Organizations spend less than 5% of revenues on technology

    Organizations around the world spend less than 5% of their revenues on technology, even so-called tech vanguards – companies with a well-defined vision and strategy and a mature tech function, according to the 2020 Deloitte Global Technology Leadership Study.

    The study was conducted on 1.300 technology and business leaders across 69 countries, including Romania.

    The study also reveals that only 11% of organizations are tech vanguards and that almost a third of leaders in such companies (29%) are likely to play a visionary role, twice more than leaders in baseline organizations (14%).

    The similarities between the two types of organizations are also visible when it comes to the budgets allocated to innovation, as 20% of vanguards invest in this field, only slightly above the percentage of baseline organizations (15%). 

    These organizations focus on innovation (66%) and customers (60%) and their technology departments are more engaged across the entire innovation life cycle, from sensing (52%), to prototyping (56%) and to deploying (47%).

    Also, the technology functions of vanguard organizations are nearly 2.5 times more likely to be considered extremely or very effective (66%) in shaping customer experiences and engagement than those in baseline organizations (27%), a capability they expect to increase over time.

    Two thirds of technology leaders (67%) at tech vanguard organizations expect the tech function to deliver transformational customer centricity in the near future, compared to only 43% of baseline organizations.

    The survey respondents believe that the kinetic leader is the most effective profile for the technology leader, a change-oriented and future-focused visionary.

    To describe the defining characteristics of successful technology leaders over the next three years, 69% of respondents used words such as change, vision, innovation and agile, while 46% concluded that strategic business and tech acumen are highly appreciated attributes.

    Entirely online processes, in 2018, at least for one service out of the 24 observed, was available in 54.6% of the Italian Regions and 48.3% of the Italian Municipalities, latest Istituto Nazionale di Statistica data show.

    Despite the growth of computerization of internal activities, 87.8% of the local PAs still used analogue tools (stamps, signatures, abbreviations) in the protocol and among them 45% used these tools for more than half of the documentation.

    Internet access with fast connections (at least 30 Mbps) is avaible for 41% of the local PAs, ultrafast (at least 100 Mbps) for 17.4%.

    More advanced technologies in larger municipalities

    In 2018, almost all the Public Administrations (99.6%) used desktop PCs (39.2% with an average life longer than 5 years) and 62.4% laptops.

    The presence of desktop personal computers was widespread (94.5 out of 100 employees; laptops available for 8.3 out of 100 employees).

    Regions and Autonomous Provinces also used other mobile devices, GIS and CAD instruments, video conferencing tools, with percentages between 90% and 100%.

    In comparison with 2015, among technologies aimed by Pas to reduce costs, open source software decreased from 54.1% to 50.9% in 2018, whereas cloud computing increased from 25.7% to 34.3% (10.5% in 2012).

    The share of entities relying on e-procurement purchases remained stable (from 79.5% to 80.9%).

    Availability of online services offered by local administrations continued to improve: almost half of them offered the possibility to start and conclude online the entire process of the requested service (47.8%; 33.8% in 2015) and the possibility to upload online documents relating to the requested
    services (68.3%; 58,3% in 2015).
