World Class starts reopening its health & fitness clubs in Romania

Starting June 15, World Class reopens its health & fitness clubs partially with the strict application of all hygiene, safety and prevention protocols.

Although the official relaxation measures allow World Class to reopen all its clubs, the health & fitness network has decided to take further precautions and split the reopening strategy into 2 phases.

A number of World Class clubs will open on June 15, while all the others will follow a rigorous reopening plan that will be announced in due time.

The period between 15-30 of June will be complimentary for all existing World Class members, allowing them to better adjust to the new training conditions and regain their comfort.

In order to ensure a healthy training environment, all World Class clubs have been disinfected prior to reopening through an advanced nebulization technology.

Also a new Safety Standard has been elaborated to be imposed at the same level in all clubs in the network, regardless their training category.

The new safety and prevention measures include maintaining physical distancing, limiting occupancy, regularly sanitizing high-touch surfaces and screening employees for symptoms prior to their shifts.

Disinfection stations will be available for members and staff in all areas of the clubs.

Group fitness classes will be back with strict distancing between participants: 10 meters for each to train apart from the others.

In the gym area, the distance required between members will be 7 meters. All club facilities will be open starting July 15, except saunas and indoor pools.

World Class acquires Planet Swim&Gym and opens the 38th club in Romania

On November 28, World Class opened its 38th club in Romania and 29th in Bucharest, following the acquisition of Planet Swim & Gym club.

“The acquisition of Planet Swim&Gym is a strategic step that takes us further into our mission. It has a very good location and the members will benefit from the support of a strong team of health and fitness experts. The club offers indoor and outdoor pools with a great relaxation area, making it ideal for families and also for after work wellness. We are strengthening our network and give more to our members by adding all the health & fitness services of Planet Swim&Gym.  The club did a very good work building a health & fitness community, being highly successful in its swimming offer for kids and attracting families to be active together. This club is an excellent match to our network and it will be our 38th health & fitness club. The new acquisition brings our services even closer to the homes and workplaces of more Romanians. In the near future we have new plans for extending our networks in strategic locations.”, says Kent Orrgren, CEO World Class.

Starting November 28, the club reopens as World Class Planet to offer members a premium facility with premium training conditions, innovative health & fitness equipment and a highly experienced team of health & fitness professionals. It will be a Gold Category club.

The former Planet Swim & Gym club had a history of 15 years and all its members will be automatically become World Class members with access to all World Class clubs throughout Romania, up to the Gold category.

“Planet Swim & Gym is a club with a long history in Romania of over 15 years and a strong health & fitness community. I am glad that following this acquisition, the club’s existing members will have access to even more benefits, more health & fitness clubs and an extended network of health & fitness specialists. I am confident that what we have built so far with Planet Swim & Gym will continue to grow and the result will be even more happy members who will choose a healthy lifestyle”, said Alexander Fagiolo, owner Planet Swim & Gym.

The three-level club will provide two aerobic studios for group fitness classes, indoor cycling, private studio for 1-to-1 training sessions, interior semi-olympic pool and also an exterior swimming pool and a summer garden with lounge area. Members will also benefit from the services of a beauty salon.

  • World Class Romania will open a fitness club in Sema Parc

River Development, the company that manages and develops Sema Parc real-estate project, announces a new lease contract with World Class Romania.

The new World Class fitness club that will open at the end of February 2020 will have a surface of 1.355 square meters and will provide the complex’ employees premium facilities and state-of-the-art sports equipment.

Sema Parc, the largest urban regeneration project in Bucharest, is a mixed real-estate project that aims at covering the full range of functions and facilities specific to modern life. In this context, the partnership with World Class Romania represents an important step in extending this circuit of related facilities, in addition to the existing ones.

“The objective of the World Class health & fitness network is to offer more and more Romanians the chance to choose an active and healthy lifestyle through sports, health and fitness. This objective is again materialized by the opening of a new club: World Class Sema Parc, in a strategically chosen location, in the immediate proximity of important office buildings. This is just one of the new openings that we have planned for the near future. The expansion of the World Class network will continue and we hope that this will bring a change in the lifestyle of the Romanians and will transform the #BeHealthy Movement for More Movement launched by World Class into a National Movement.”, said Kent Orrgren, CEO World Class.

The unique location of the new World Class club was strategically chosen, as Sema Parc is located in a highly accessible area, within Bucharest’s latest business district – the Central-Western pole, 10 minutes from the city center and 200 m from Petrache Poenaru subway station, being one of the most representative business parks in Bucharest.

Currently, two new class A office buildings with an overall GLA of over 31,500 sqm are under development being estimated for delivery in Q2 2021.

Over the past three years, Sema Parc has been engaged in developing three class A office buildings with a total of 38.000 sqm GLA. The first two buildings (Bruxelles and Paris, having a cumulated surface of 23,500 sqm) were already completed and the third one (Berlin – 14,817 sqm) recently delivered in Q3 2019.
